New Concept Shoot: PF Chang’s London

PF Changs has arrived in London! We recently worked with our long time friends at PF Chang’s Global to create a new photography aesthetic for the launch. The first location in Europe, the London location photography needed to represent co-founder Philip Chiang’s love of art, music and food. Shot in studio, the images provide both a look into the menu and its creation with a very hands on story telling approach. The results are beautiful with thoughtful attention to detail. Thank you to the PFC team, all the best in London!

A very cool fact – the location’s past includes a jazz club where the Beatles famously gave The Rolling Stones one of their hit singles, I Wanna Be Your Man.

We’ve been working with the folks over at PF Chang’s for years and specifically with their global division.  Global operates in 21 countries with over 70 locations. It’s been wonderful and a creative pleasure to push the boundaries when creating new and diverse content for each international market – here’s a few recent menus. Looking forward to another great year working with this terrific team.

Patrick Darby Photography – A Unique and Powerful Brand Solution

Having fostered and developed partnerships with dozens of national restaurant brands throughout the years, we wanted to assemble a retrospective of imagery samples from some of these projects and take the opportunity to publish the words from one of our closest partners (RUI) describing their experiences with Patrick Darby Photography.

Patrick and his team are dedicated to nothing less than the highest quality collateral deliverable…

-Niall Bloom, Creative Project Director of RUI

In a nutshell, we’re not photographers… we’re creative brand partners and solution providers for the hospitality industry. We produce visual content that is designed to strengthen and support these brands and better the aesthetic experience they present to their prospective clientele. We strive to provide an unprecedented and unique blend of creative capability, efficiency and overall superior partnership experience that results in long term and prosperous relationships.

Read more about what Niall Bloom has to say about PDP and feel free reach out with any inquiries or to discuss a future creative partnership.

– Patrick Darby / Principal, Director of Photography

…We have had the privilege of working with Patrick Darby/Tonic photography on multiple branding projects over the last 2 years. Restaurant’s Unlimited is a growing company with 48 restaurants nationally with more than 20 distinct brands. One of the unique challenges of our organization is our great variety of concepts, restaurant design and menu content. Patrick and his team have been instrumental in defining, highlighting and communicating the distinct nature of some of the most important brands in our organization. They’ve done this by leveraging several of their key strengths:

Talent & Creativity: Tonic is able to deliver the highest quality photography representing unique brand voices while adding their signature look and feel. Patrick & his team are able to troubleshoot and problem solve in real time while always maintaining their high quality standards.

Commitment & Work ethic: RUI has worked with multiple photography teams. The focus, consistency and work ethic of Patrick and his team is unmatched.

Efficiency: Patrick’s team is small but mighty. Each of the individual team members are able to wear multiple hats and support projects with everything from planning & organizing, load in/load out, set up, lighting, food styling, assistant photography and everything in between.

Flexibility: The Tonic team is able to make adjustments on the fly to suit changing conditions: Late breaking marketing promotions, physical constraints, shot list adjustments and all the other things that can come up during an all-day photo shoot.

Staff, Management and ongoing support: The team are committed to ensuring the best outcome for everyone by leveraging open & honest communication and feedback. Tonic team have not only supported our organization’s intent but have helped us further define, refine and capitalize on our brand identities”

East Coast Love From Recent PF Changs Tears

I recently partnered with a great group called Wonderful Machine, a marketing engine for commercial photographers based out of PA. With that being said, I love seeing our work published online and outdoor via the client but it’s always great to see the work published and directed to our peers and the industry. Thanks to WM for the recent mention and photo love from our recent work with PF Changs.

Check out all the tears here
